This portrait of a servant closely resembles the servant Jean Rabo on Jacques André Joseph Aved's painting of William IV (1747), though may be dated just slightly later.[1]
The handling shows great comparison to Hendrik Pothoven's (Amsterdam 1725-1807 Amsterdam) drawing of Cupido or Sevron, servant of William V van Oranje-Nassau, present in the coll. Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam.[2]
